I want to outline the way to salvation in a simple manner so as not to lose anyone in the weeds. The way to Heaven is not complicated, but it has been obscured by false teaching. Children easily grasp an understanding of the process. and so should we.
There’s debate as to whether a person is saved by works or grace. There’s also some controversy regarding the sufficiency of the Lord Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross of Calvary. Some believe that it’s necessary for a person to go to purgatory after death in order to suffer for their sins. Both of these topics will be addressed.
Readers should resist the tendency to ignore the truth of Scripture because of long-held beliefs or religious traditions. The Lord Jesus said in John 8:31&32: “So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” Jesus also declared said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
We live in an age when many believe that a person can have their own truth. This is biblically and intellectually false. The world around us is filled with absolutes. To ignore them is to invite havoc, chaos, and disillusionment. Yes, we can all have our own personal opinions. However, facts and truth should supersede in the final analyses.
“The Way to Salvation” is separated into the following seven components for easier consumption:
4) Paying the Sin Penalty (Part 1)
5) Paying the Sin Penalty (Part II)
I strongly suggest that you read all seven components in the order given to avoid any confusion. There’s already enough confusion on this topic.
